I did a lot of research before joining Curtin University. It is well-known for Engineering and it is easy to get around. I went to Open Day at Curtin and had been given a tour here and I decided straight away that this is my university. What I love about Curtin University is the facilities. During exams and assignments, I could stay in the library late and there are so many technology programs and software available for me to do my work in a high standard quality. My advice to future students are always do your research carefully, whether to choose courses or subjects for your studies. Make yourself well-organised and plan ahead of time for any scholarships available. There are so many offerings on campus so make sure you prepare to meet deadlines or allow yourself to enjoy campus life.

Griffith's support services have made university the best time of my life. I love getting involved with the university community through programs such as Griffith Mates and Orientation activities, and I have met so many amazing people throughout my time here. Staff are friendly and will always try their best to answer any questions you may have.

What I enjoy most about living in Queensland, Australia is the amazing weather and beautiful beaches. There is always something to do and you never get bored over the weekends. There is also a strong fitness and sports culture with people exercising everyday. The food is also affordable and delicious.

"Bond is such an amazing place to study. The degrees are accelerated, so instead of being at uni for 4 years, I’m here for 2. I’m able to get into the work force a lot quicker and take what I’ve learnt whilst at uni and put it into practice."

As a Griffith Mate, I love helping students settle in to life in Australia and university. The Mates are such a wonderful, tight-knit family and are always a friendly face on campus. Not only is it an amazing opportunity to make new friends, but the experiences and leadership skills I have gained are immensely useful in improving my employability.

"The quotation I live my life by is ‘If it is to be, it’s up to me’. You can’t rely on other people to make things happen. As an individual, I am motivated to be the best that I can be and never stop wanting to challenge my skills and myself." Christina’s Bachelor of Commerce led her to winning the Westpac Group Accounting and Financial Services Top 100 Grads award and to a job as a consultant at Ernst & Young.
