“My favorite part of SEMO is that there are opportunities everywhere you go on this campus to grow yourself. It doesn’t matter where you come from or if you are an extrovert or an introvert."

"The reason I chose Curtin University Perth was because I was already associated with Curtin Singapore where I did my Diploma of Commerce and Bachelor of Commerce majoring in International Business. Since I was very happy with my journey pursuing both degrees with Curtin, I continued my Master's at the Perth campus in order to gain a world-class education and join a prestigious international community. Every bit of the course is great and adding value to my career from the units, the tutors who teach me and the additional exposure I get."

The multicultural and amazingly experienced cohort, brilliant faculty, research trips all along with fun not only helped me understand tourism from a global perspective but also gave me an opportunity to contribute to the academic world through my assignments and my final thesis. I ended getting my job through one of the work-integrated learning programs that Western introduced right after my first semester. It was this program that basically kick-started my career as I was offered to work as an intern that converted into a part-time role, and the day I submitted my thesis in my final semester I was offered to work as a Programs Coordinator and Quality Assurance Engineer at one of the leading Australian Edtech startups in Experiential Learning.

The University in itself is quite dynamic and gives a flavour of London. I am amazed by the opportunities for students and alumni to work and grow further with the University. It truly stands for its name – combining a variety of people, culture and ideas. The support system offered by each department is strong.

To be a part of the University is a wonderful experience. The cultural diversity is worth mentioning. Our lecturers and other non-teaching staff are warm and efficient. The help provided by the University is excellent. The library is the best part of the University and is where I have spent my most precious time since being in London.

"At RRU, I made connections between the academic side of the program and my hands-on experiences. I got to see the importance of the host community’s involvement and the roles of sustainability and resources as they pertain to tourism. Plus, I got to enjoy the hospitality of a new community and its people. It’s an experience I’ll never forget." Read more about Mihir here.

I’ve been a part of Griffith Mates for a year and a half and to be honest it has been one of my best experiences at Griffith. As a Mate I got the opportunity to be an event manager, I got introduced to so many different people from diverse backgrounds and I could also drastically improve my linguistic skills as my native language is not English. Being enthusiastically part of volunteerships I ended up working for Griffith as a student partner, trust me being staff and a student in your uni has its own advantages.

My experience at Murdoch has been wonderful. The campus is so relaxing, and I've been able to make friends from different countries and love the fact that the University is so multicultural. Orientation Week was helpful in getting accustomed to various aspects of life at Murdoch University and in Australia. The support staff and volunteers are also amazingly friendly and caring. They were so willing to help no matter how big or small the issue was.

Griffith's support services made my transition to Australia and its culture very smooth as help was always available as soon as I needed it. I clearly remember being worried about the different education style in Australia, especially referencing, but so many resources were available to guide me through it. I chose to study at Griffith because it has industry-based programs with a lot of opportunities to gain practical experience during the degree.
