When Karley moved from Vietnam to the United States at 16, she was stepping into an entirely new world. Starting her studies at Santa Ana College, she quickly discovered a place that offered not only education but also encouragement and community.
The international student office became a central part of her experience, giving her opportunities to work, connect, and grow. With guidance from advisors and professors, Karley developed confidence in public speaking, leadership, and networking, all of which shaped her personal and academic journey.
Karley hopes to use the skills and experiences she has gained in California to make a difference back home in Vietnam, empowering other young women to take control of their futures.
