Is New Zealand right for me? What is there to do in NZ?

International students researching their options for study are faced with numerous – often confusing – options and factors to consider. Is the climate right for me? Am I more suited to the metropolitan Auckland on the North Island or the stunning scenery of Dunedin on the South Island?

We’re here to help you answer such questions, and ensure that the process of choosing a path for study is as smooth and as fun as possible!

New Zealand is home to a range of high-ranked and high-quality institutions which makes for a top of the range education, which is why, according to prospects.ac.uk, around 100,000 international students choose to study in New Zealand annually.

The area is renowned for its picturesque scenery and incredible views, some of which include the Milford Sound, the Bay of Islands, Wai-O-Tapu and famously the areas of landscape where the Lord of The Rings and the Hobbit movies were filmed. It is even possible to visit the Hobbiton set if you are a fan!

Auckland

Nelson

Nelson, a city on the southern island of the country, is well known for its breathtaking landscapes. Things to do in Nelson include:

  • Abel Tasman National park (home to fur seal colonies and other wildlife)
  • Tahunanui Beach
