
For Denys Arkhypenko, studying in the United States began with hockey. He first came to Wilkes-Barre from Ukraine at age 11, but when it came time to choose a college, he knew King’s College was the place for him.
Now a Finance major, Denys values the close-knit community that makes King’s feel like a family. From supportive professors and staff to friendships that last a lifetime, he says the college provides the guidance and encouragement international students need to thrive.
Beyond academics, Denys has taken part in community events that mean a great deal to him, including organizing a charity hockey game that raised funds for a Ukrainian foundation supporting children and soldiers in need of medical care.
